ROLE SUMMARY Transport coordinator € 2,900 to € 3,900 gross per month (depending on experience) Working in Schiedam For the European fleet, Mammoet possesses large cranes, heavy transport equipment, and various types of lifting and transport means. Generally, these multimodal lifting and transport means are transported in pieces by road or by water to a location somewhere in Europe. In both cases, this transport is almost entirely outsourced to third parties. For transport by road and rail, we are looking for an enthusiastic logistics coordinator/freight forwarder who independently schedules the freight supply and ensures the punctual delivery of our crane or heavy transport parts. In most cases, you must procure and schedule multiple trucks with different types of trailers within a short timeframe at pre-determined times. You must search for suitable carriers for this, while maintaining a good price/quality ratio. In this role, you are the first point of contact for fellow planners & project managers. Additionally, you handle complaints independently and provide the relevant carriers with information regarding the transport. You also take care of the necessary permits and process administrative data within your own discipline in an automated system. WHAT YOU WILL DO Supporting our transport planning team from an administrative perspective during daily operational activities, including: International transports within the European region (no local transports within individual countries). Transports within the Netherlands to and from customers and project locations. Transports from Europe to the CIS countries. Assessing transport requests and ensuring that all necessary information and documentation is available. Registering transport requests in the internal planning tool. Updating and managing our master database with suppliers, framework agreements, stored files, and supplier evaluations. Evaluating suppliers annually in consultation with the planning team. Processing transport orders in our ERP system (SAP), including: Creating purchase requisitions. Maintaining contact with budget holders to obtain timely approval. Creating purchase orders for suppliers. Checking, preparing, and correcting customs invoices and packing lists for international transports where import and export customs formalities apply.
