The role

Vacancy type: Regular
Location: Schiphol Oost
Hours per week: 40
Education level: HBO
Apply by: 09-11-2026

How do you translate complex needs from the maintenance organization into IT solutions that truly add value? As a Business Analyst, you connect the business with Product Owners, Project Managers, and technical IT teams. You analyze processes, make requirements transparent, and help develop solutions that support the planning of aircraft maintenance and other MRO activities.

What you'll do

No two days are the same. You work on innovative initiatives that have a direct impact on KLM's operations. From digitizing maintenance planning for our entire fleet and implementing logistical automation solutions to new systems that support managing disruptions in daily flight operations. Additionally, you contribute to strategic programs in which essential IT systems are modernized and replaced.

You immerse yourself in the processes and needs of the business and translate these into clear insights for IT developers. Conversely, you make technical information understandable for non-technical stakeholders. By shadowing colleagues, you discover where processes can be improved and what is needed to ensure new solutions are well-received by users.

What will you do?

Furthermore:

  • you analyze and model business processes and actively establish contact with the parties involved;
  • you collaborate with the user organization and the product team on requirements, use cases, and business cases aimed at concrete business value;
  • you design, develop, and implement process improvements;
  • you work with users, architects, and IT specialists on designing suitable IT solutions;
  • you coordinate testing, data migration, implementation, change management, and user support, and you also participate in these yourself.

Your profile

You fathom complex issues and bring different interests together. In doing so, you take initiative, actively seek collaboration, and make technical information understandable for diverse stakeholders. You have knowledge of the business processes within E&M or are motivated to deepen your knowledge of aviation and the role of Business Analyst. You also know what is needed to involve users in changes and to address potential obstacles in a timely manner.
