Do you want to grow into a specialist in building management systems and HVAC control technology?

Have you completed a technical education and do you want to develop yourself within the world of smart buildings, HVAC installations, and building management systems? Then this is your chance.

At Johnson Controls, you will get the opportunity to work on complex projects within hospitals, utility buildings, and critical infrastructures. Together with experienced Project Engineers, you will learn how building management systems are designed, realized, and successfully delivered.

Buildings are becoming increasingly smart and sustainable. Behind every modern hospital, office building, or production environment lies complex measurement and control technology that ensures comfort, safety, and energy efficiency.

As a Junior Project Engineer, you will learn step by step how these systems work and how you technically guide projects from design to delivery.

You will be guided by experienced colleagues and given the space to develop yourself towards becoming an independent Project Engineer.

Together with experienced colleagues, you will work on diverse projects within the healthcare and utility sectors.

Your responsibilities include, among other things:

• Assisting in the design of building management systems and HVAC control installations.
• Preparing and checking technical documentation.
• Supporting engineering and execution activities.
• Coordinating with software engineers, hardware engineers, and commissioning engineers.
• Thinking along about technical solutions for customers.
• Supporting FAT, SAT, and handover processes.
• Learning to work with modern building management systems and communication protocols.
• Visiting projects to experience the technology in practice.

You will work on projects such as:

• UMCG Operating Theater Complex Realization
• MCL New Hospital Construction
• Nij Smellinghe WKO
• KPN Cooling Plant Renovation

Projects vary from smaller optimizations to complex multi-year trajectories with a value of several million euros.

During your first period, you will learn to work with, among other things:

• Metasys
• CCT
• MUI
• KNX
• BACnet
• Modbus

In addition, you will develop knowledge of:

• HVAC installations
• Building Management Systems (BMS)
• Measurement and control technology
• Technical project coordination
• Commissioning and system integration

After approximately 12 months:

• You understand the operation of building management systems and HVAC control technology.
• You independently contribute to engineering and project activities.
• You are a full member of the project team.
• You independently support the technical execution of projects.
• You have a clear development plan towards Project Engineer.
