As a program manager, you play a central role in the successful realization of digital projects within healthcare, from large-scale EHR (implementation) and re-implementation to data management, healthcare portals, and regional data exchange. You are the one who maintains oversight, provides direction, and connects teams to achieve results together that truly matter.

In your role, you contribute to the digital future of healthcare organizations. You will be involved in, among other things:

• Developing and monitoring project and program plans regarding digital healthcare solutions;

• Leading complex ICT projects, such as implementations, optimizations, and change processes;

• Monitoring planning, budget, and resources, ensuring projects are executed within frameworks and with quality;

• Facilitating multidisciplinary teams and creating support among clients and stakeholders;

• Actively managing stakeholder relationships at all levels, from healthcare professionals to executive boards;

• Integrating laws and regulations (such as GDPR and NEN standards) into execution;

• Contributing to sustainable innovations within organizations.

Every assignment is different, which requires flexibility and curiosity. You will work at various client locations throughout the Netherlands, sometimes from home, and sometimes at one of our office locations. You will be given the space to organize your work in a way that suits both you and the organization.

As a program manager, you manage multiple interconnected projects and ensure that these contribute to the strategic goals of the organization. You move easily in an environment where digitalization has an effect on processes, teams, and decision-making. In doing so, you know how to create oversight within programs containing various digital projects. You identify dependencies, risks, and opportunities in a timely manner and ensure that execution aligns with both the program objectives and the broader strategic direction.

In your daily work, you lead project teams and build a stable, clear program structure. You bring cohesion, drive for results, and know how to connect different disciplines and stakeholders. You communicate clearly about progress and required decision-making and intervene when adjustment is necessary.

At the same time, you do not let difficult conversations or conflicting interests knock you off course. You remain professional, identify bottlenecks, and work towards constructive solutions that contribute to the common goal. Your decision-making is always well-considered: you carefully weigh information, context, and interests, and switch effortlessly between details and the bigger picture when the situation demands it.

Additionally, you are organizationally sensitive. You understand the dynamics, relationships, and interests within healthcare organizations and move smoothly through different layers. You know how to create support for digital changes and involve both internal and external stakeholders in a way that promotes trust and collaboration.

Experience & expertise

• At least 5 years of experience as a project or program manager within healthcare and ICT;

• Demonstrable and recent experience with large, complex implementations or change processes, preferably within hospitals;

• Knowledge of and experience with project management methodologies such as PRINCE2, Agile, or Lean;

• Experience with stakeholder and change management within complex organizations.
