Are you someone who always maintains an overview, even when things get busy? Do you effortlessly extract the right data from systems and do you think in processes? For our warehouses in Venlo, we are looking for control room specialists who are ready for the next step and want to contribute to our customers!
What you'll do
As a control room specialist, you are responsible for starting, monitoring, directing, and closing production processes in the automated warehouse: you work on it.
How do you do this? You maintain control from the control room: a high-tech office full of screens and systems. Here, you continuously monitor the performance of the operation. You signal deviations, anticipate disruptions, and ensure that daily goals are met. Does something go wrong? Then you know exactly how and when to intervene or escalate.
You work in a close-knit team within a new, but crucial department that is fully in development. Thanks to your experience and sharp eye for improvement, you contribute every day to the success of our operation. You achieve this by:
- solving first-line problems and signaling improvement processes;
- communicating with the operation regarding process flow status, changes, and required direction, and providing input on updates to the various stakeholders;
- managing and monitoring the progress of the processes.
Your team stands out within DSV due to the specialized knowledge of everyone and its international character. The team is new and the atmosphere is extremely collegial, working together in a 2-shift service.
You bring
- demonstrable sound logistics and automated warehouse knowledge, gained for example as a troubleshooter;
- the ability to always remain calm in a dynamic environment, allowing you to maintain an overview and always set the right priorities;
- good command of the English language and knowledge of various software systems.
It all counts for this vacancy of control room specialist in Venlo. Furthermore, it is of course important that you feel at home with us. That will certainly go well if you like to take initiative, have courage, and want to grow with DSV.
