Are you ready to design and realize groundbreaking logistics automation? You can make an impact on our international warehouse environments.

Within the Automation & Technology department, part of the Solutions Design department, you will work on future-proof, automated logistics concepts for customers in a dynamic, international market: you will contribute to it.

How do you do this? You initiate, develop, sell, and implement automation solutions that fit the logistics operations of our customers. This begins with analyzing customer needs, logistics processes, and available data to gain insight into where automation adds value. You translate operational challenges into innovative concepts for material handling, robotics, and warehouse automation, using modeling techniques such as simulations and financial commercial analyses. Subsequently, you prepare complete business cases, including cost-benefit analyses and risk assessments, which you present convincingly to internal stakeholders and potential customers.

As a senior automation engineer, you guide the entire trajectory: from concept development to implementation. You work closely with Solutions Design, Data Science, sales, and marketing to integrate automation proposals into the commercial process and ultimately realize them at customer locations. You manage suppliers and internal teams, ensure professional communication during every project phase, and guarantee that the chosen automation solution perfectly aligns with the customer's dynamic logistics environment. In this way, you make automation scalable, feasible, and future-proof. You will achieve this by:

• developing innovative automation concepts for warehousing and material handling
• analyzing (large) datasets, performing simulations, and financial models;
• determining automation and robotics requirements and translating them into business cases and presentations for customers.
