A completed HBO or WO degree in Geo-information, Geography, Geo-ICT, Geomatics, or a similar field;
Good knowledge of FME Form and QGIS and experience with processing, analyzing, and managing large amounts of (geo)data;
You are analytical, accurate, and quality-oriented and know how to translate complex data into usable insights;
You possess good communication skills and enjoy supporting colleagues with GIS issues;
Pre: experience with FME Flow, scripting (for example Python), and databases or spatial data models;
Pre: experience leading GEO projects and/or affinity with telecom, infrastructure, or fiber optic projects.
A VOG (Certificate of Good Conduct) is mandatory for this position. The application will be started by DELTA after the employment contract has been signed. The costs for the VOG will be reimbursed by us.

As a GIS Specialist, you play an important role within our telecom projects. You ensure that geographic data is reliable, up-to-date, and optimally usable for the preparation, execution, and management of our fiber optic networks. With your analytical ability and eye for quality, you help colleagues and projects move forward and contribute to a future-proof GIS landscape.
In this versatile role, you are responsible for managing, analyzing, and enriching geographic data. You work closely with colleagues from various disciplines and make an important contribution to the quality of our geo-information.
Your activities include, among others:
Managing, checking, and optimizing geo-data and datasets;
Advising project teams and stakeholders on the use and quality of geographic data;
Analyzing and combining different data sources to create valuable insights;
Identifying, investigating, and resolving errors or inconsistencies in datasets;
Collecting, preparing, transforming, and enriching data for geo-products and services;
Translating complex datasets into clear maps, analyses, and thematic visualizations;
Developing and improving GIS processes and contributing to data quality and standardization;
Supporting colleagues in the use of GIS systems and acting as a point of contact for geo-related issues;
Actively thinking along about innovations and automation possibilities within the GIS domain.
As a GIS Specialist at DELTA Fiber, you are curious, analytical, and solution-oriented. You take initiative and do not wait around, but independently search for the best solution. You know how to fathom complex issues, establish connections between different data sources, and translate analyses into practical solutions for the organization.
