Requirements
What we're looking for
· HBO (Higher Professional Education) level of working and thinking, preferably in ICT, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a comparable technical field.
· At least 5 years of experience within a technical support, service, or engineering environment.
· In-depth knowledge of hardware, software and/or cloud solutions.
· Strong analytical skills and a structured approach to solving complex problems.
· Excellent communication skills in Dutch and English.
· A proactive attitude, customer-oriented mindset, and strong collaboration skills.
Nice to have
· Affinity with Building Automation, building automation, or smart building technology is a plus.

The role
Are you an experienced technical specialist with in-depth knowledge of hardware, software and/or cloud solutions? Do you want to solve complex technical issues, support international teams, and contribute to the further development of innovative Building Automation solutions? Then this position is for you.
As Group Technical Specialist Building Automation, you are the technical authority within one or more product groups. You support international Technical Support teams with complex issues and work closely with Product Development to implement structural improvements. Thanks to your expertise, customers worldwide are optimally supported and our solutions continue to evolve.
Within our Building Automation Group, you fulfill a key role between Technical Support and Product Development. You analyze technical challenges, identify the root cause of problems, and translate insights into sustainable solutions. Additionally, you play an important role in knowledge sharing, product improvement, and the successful introduction of new products and functionalities within our international organization.
What you'll do
· Supporting international Technical Support teams with complex technical issues and escalations (3rd line support).
· Analyzing, investigating, and reproducing technical problems to arrive at structural solutions.
· Acting as a connecting link between Support and Product Development.
· Prioritizing technical cases within your area of expertise.
· Sharing practical knowledge and user insights with Product Development teams.
· Supporting the introduction of new products and features to our international branches.
· Providing training, workshops, and technical documentation.
· Identifying trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement and translating these into concrete improvement initiatives.
