Product Quality Team Leader

You lead five quality specialists, helping them grow in their profession and stimulating ownership. At the same time, you regularly dive into the technical details yourself: you assess complex quality issues, make trade-offs, and ensure that decisions are made. With this, you have a direct influence on the quality of a broad and visible assortment. Together, you ensure that new products meet all quality and safety requirements from the initial design to the store.

• You provide daily leadership to a team of five quality specialists and coach them in their development and professional growth.
• You are the owner of the quality process: from product specifications and design to the final release of products.
• You work intensively with category managers and designers and advise them on quality, safety, and technical feasibility.
• You assess product specifications, test reports, and quality issues, making well-founded decisions in these matters.
• You ensure that products comply with relevant national and international laws and regulations, such as product safety, guidelines, and other compliance requirements.
• You maintain frequent contact with suppliers and production partners, including in Asia, where you regularly communicate in English.
• You identify where processes can be smarter and more efficient and take the initiative to further improve the collaboration between quality, commercial, and product development.

You are a natural leader who gains energy from developing people and solving complex quality issues. You do not need to be a specialist in every product group, but you feel at home in the world of diverse consumer products and know how to quickly ask the right questions.

• HBO or WO working and thinking level.
• Experience within product quality, quality assurance, or product compliance of consumer products.
• Experience in managing or coaching a team towards quality, QA, or similar.
• Affinity with a wide product range, such as household goods, toys, stationery, or electronics.
• You communicate easily in Dutch and English and switch smoothly with international suppliers.
• Decisiveness: you take initiative, make decisions, and set ideas in motion.
• Connecting ability: you build relationships easily and know how to bring different interests together.
