Quality and Laboratory Internship (QHSE)

Are you curious about everything involved in brewing specialty beer? Do you want to do more than just watch, but actually work in a laboratory where the quality of our beers is worked on every day? Then this internship at Brouwerij 't IJ is for you. In our brand-new brewery in the heart of Amsterdam, you will join the QHSE team and discover how quality, food safety, and beer analysis come together in practice.

No two days are the same. You will support the team with various tasks and thus gain a complete picture of quality within a brewery.

• Performing laboratory analyses on beer and raw materials.
• Supporting quality controls during the brewing and packaging processes.
• Processing and analyzing measurement results.
• Contributing to food safety, hygiene controls, and quality improvements.
• Supporting the maintenance of up-to-date procedures and quality documentation.
• Thinking along about improvements in the areas of quality, safety, and sustainability.
• Collaborating with brewers, operators, logistics, and technical services.

• You are following an mbo or hbo education in Laboratory Technology, Food Technology, Chemistry, Food, or a similar field of study.
• You are looking for a practical internship of at least 4-5 months.
• You work accurately and have an eye for detail.
• You are curious, proactive, and not afraid to roll up your sleeves.
• You enjoy working with data, analyses, and quality.
• You communicate easily and enjoy working together with various colleagues.
