At ASML's Delft office, we are developing a multi-beam electron microscope used to inspect semiconductor wafers during production. As part of the development process, we continuously collect and analyze data from multiple systems operating under a wide range of conditions. Storing this data in a structured, reliable, and future-proof way, while making it easily accessible for querying, analysis, performance tracking, and reporting, is essential to our work. This internship focuses on developing a data platform that supports these activities and helps engineers gain valuable insights from complex datasets. You will contribute to a solution with a direct impact on the development of advanced semiconductor technology.
This is a master thesis or non-thesis internship for minimum 5 months, 5 days per week (2 days on-site). The start date of this internship is as of February or March 2027.
As an intern, you will work with our design team to develop a data platform for measurement and performance data. You will investigate the data generated by our systems and determine how it can best be structured, stored, and accessed to support current and future querying, analysis, performance tracking, and reporting needs. You will have the opportunity to design and implement the solution from the ground up, with the freedom to explore suitable technologies and approaches that best support our engineering needs.
To be suitable for the internship, you:
This position requires access to controlled technology, as defined in the United States Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. § 730, et seq.). Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to access such controlled technology prior to beginning work. Business demands may require ASML to proceed with candidates who are immediately eligible to access controlled technology.
ASML is an innovation leader in the semiconductor industry. It provides chipmakers with the hardware, software and services they need to mass produce microchips, designing and manufacturing the lithography machines that are an essential part of chip manufacturing. Its advanced lithography systems use light to print the tiny patterns that form the circuits inside modern chips, giving the world's leading chipmakers the power to mass produce patterns on silicon. The company counts more than 44,000 employees (FTEs) of 143 nationalities across over 60 locations.
ASML's product portfolio spans EUV lithography, DUV lithography, metrology & inspection, computational lithography, refurbished systems and customer support. Its culture is grounded in a strong set of values that guide how the company works, collaborates and innovates.
