You advise leading clients such as provinces, Rijkswaterstaat, water boards, and grid operators on Natura 2000, nitrogen, NNN, and nature development. In doing so, you also focus on collaboration with junior and medior colleagues and take responsibility for knowledge transfer and quality assurance.

In short, you safeguard the balance between nature, economy, and policy.

  • Leading and advising within complex landscape ecological issues, including quality assurance when drafting management plans, nature goal analyses, preliminary assessments, appropriate assessments, EIAs, and LESAs.
  • Coaching and guiding, as well as transferring knowledge to, younger colleagues within the team.
  • Strategically advising on nitrogen, biodiversity opportunities, and the sustainable design of the rural area, particularly Natura 2000 and NNN.
  • Integrating and testing ecological knowledge against nature legislation and economic interests in clear, applicable advice.
  • Proactively following developments in nature policy and legislation and translating these into opportunities for our clients and projects.

  • Knowledge sharing within the Nature & Biodiversity Advisory Group and contributing to the further professionalization of the Rural Area team.

About the Advisory Group and the Team:

You will be working in an enthusiastic team of 14 ecologists with a passion for the rural area. Through our advice and assessments, we work on nature conservation and development of, for example, Natura 2000 areas and the NNN. We work closely together in an open, collegial, and professional environment where development and collaboration are central.

The Rural Area team is one of the four teams in the Nature & Biodiversity Advisory Group, where approximately 60 driven ecologists work together on future-proof solutions for nature and landscape. Biodiversity is one of the five pillars within our sustainability strategy, through which we make an impact for our clients and society. We encounter each other within larger projects, but also through knowledge meetings and social activities.
