The role

Do you want to apply your tax expertise not only for entrepreneurs, but also for aaff itself? As a tax advisor / in-house tax counsel, you combine two worlds. You advise clients on complex tax issues and receive a central role in the tax affairs of aaff. From restructurings and acquisitions to consultations with the Tax Authorities and advice to the Management Board: your work has a direct impact. That combination makes this position special.

Extra interesting: at aaff, you are more than an employee. You are one of our 2,000 co-owners. Through our participation scheme, you can invest every year and thus share in our profits. Nice, isn't it?

What you'll do

  • You handle and oversee the tax matters within aaff and guide, among other things, restructurings, acquisitions, collaborations, and other organizational developments.

  • You assess tax returns, maintain contact with the Tax Authorities, conduct preliminary consultations, and guide tax audits.

  • You advise the Management Board, both requested and unrequested, on relevant tax issues and developments.

  • You set up the corporate tax documentation for aaff, manage and update it, including the tax history of the predecessor entities.

  • You advise clients and develop tax strategies, maintain client relationships, and identify opportunities in the market.

  • You work closely with In-house Legal and tax specialists, including specialists in the fields of payroll taxes and VAT. You also monitor the tax aspects of the participation scheme.

  • You share your knowledge and guide junior advisors in their development.

What will you do as a tax advisor / in-house tax counsel?

In this position, you combine tax advisory practice with the role of in-house tax counsel. For our clients, you develop tax strategies. You maintain client relationships, advise, and identify opportunities.

Within aaff, you oversee ongoing tax matters and advise on relevant tax developments and issues. In doing so, you interface with various parties, including the In-house Legal department, tax specialists, accountants, legal experts, estate planners, the Tax Authorities, and the Management Board.

Your workplace at aaff

We will determine your base location in consultation. Aalsmeer, Eindhoven, and Wageningen are the preferred locations, but depending on where you live, we will look together within the region for a suitable place. What is certain is that you will travel regularly for this position. Because you work both in advisory practice and for aaff itself, you will collaborate with various colleagues and disciplines. Think of In-house Legal, tax specialists from the practice, and the Management Board.

What do you bring?

  • Mentality: you have a proactive and connecting attitude and think in solutions. You also work independently and take ownership and responsibility for what you do.
