Wehkamp Retail Group's LSCZ (Logistical Storage Centre Zwolle) consists of 3 halls and spans more than 110,000 m2 of state-of-the-art, automated e-commerce operation. The innovative OSR (Order Storage & Retrieval) Shuttle System uses more than 500 automatic shuttles to retrieve items from 525,000 automatic pick locations. The 28 pick stations can collect more than 11,000 items per hour. The logistics center also includes extra bulk locations for small products, 3.5 kilometers of hanging goods, and 30,000 pallet locations for larger products and bulk storage. In 2023, the logistics center was expanded by another 30,000 m2 with further automation and mechanization. 

As a Technician in the Maintenance department, you will be involved in our most important process, the outbound process, which includes two large internal logistical order stock systems; the fully automated stock and order picking system (OSR) and the overspill area.

As a Technician, you have an important role. You ensure the proper functioning and the technical availability of these internal logistical storage, transport, and subsystems. You do this together with your colleagues by performing adequate maintenance. In the beginning, you will be paired with an experienced colleague to guarantee a good onboarding process so that you are not alone. 

• Preparing and performing corrective and/or preventive maintenance to ensure the safeguarding and technical availability of (main) installations;
• Telephone contact with hotlines of our largest installations (abroad) to bring matters to a successful conclusion;
• Corrective-planned maintenance of tasks that do not cause immediate problems, but must be done in the short term (walkways, inspections, and recurring maintenance); 
• Administratively maintaining and completing tasks in our CMMS Ultimo;
• Proactively identifying and communicating (technical) problems and not optimally functioning equipment, in other words, trying to neutralize all threats to technical availability;
• Making improvement suggestions for processes and technology with the aim of improving efficiency or technical availability;
• Supervising third parties at our location and monitoring quality and duration;
• Participating in project groups and stand-ups to provide input from the perspective of Maintenance;
• Guiding new employees.

Your activities take place in a 2-shift service (06:30-16:30 and 16:00–02:00). Every other week, you also work a weekend shift. In fact, you work 38 hours spread over 4 days per week.
