• a completed HBO or WO degree, supplemented with at least ten years of relevant work experience within construction and/or infra.
• experience with physical and critical assets.
• experience with competitive dialogue and relational contracting.
• experience with European tendering.
• good command of the Dutch language (minimum level C1).

As Strategic Procurement and Contract Manager Large Projects, you are responsible for the procurement of large projects (100 mln+), such as the Southern Development or Reconstruction of C-pier, with clear tender guidelines in a dynamic environment where your innovative ideas and unconventional approach are valued. • achieving the best market approach for a tender and contract by showing leadership in driving tender and contract choices.
• realizing unifying leadership to involve and keep all relevant stakeholders engaged in these complex projects.
• ensuring that we receive the best bids and that all procurement risks are well managed because you, with your knowledge and skills, have maximally stimulated, enticed, and supported both our tender team and the tender teams of participants.
• further developing our way of market interaction in tenders, in line with our vision on partnership and collaboration.
• managing buyers and contract managers working on Large Projects.

As a senior tender manager, you master the usual methods on the side and look at tender processes with a fresh, progressive perspective. With your market knowledge, you bind the best contractors and suppliers to Schiphol, and with your knowledge of procurement laws and regulations, you always know how to find room for new opportunities and possibilities. The large projects team within Procurement & Contracting is responsible for major projects such as: replacing the C-Pier, a baggage cellar for the Southern Development, and a new metro line to and from Schiphol.
