Technical Career Changer - Learn and work at the same time

Do you want to learn a trade where you make something, solve something, and contribute to the future every single day?

At our VDK companies, we are looking for enthusiastic career changers who want to develop into a technical professional. You don't need to know everything yet. We find motivation, curiosity, and the will to learn more important than experience.

You will learn and work in practice. Together with us, you will discover which technical trade suits you best. Think, for example, of:

• Electrical engineering

• Mechanical engineering

• Installation technology

• Security technology

• Service and maintenance

You start with a practice-oriented training program in which you learn the basics of the trade. After that, you will start working at our VDK companies and continue learning the trade in practice. You will work together with experienced colleagues who will guide you. Step by step, you will grow towards an independent technical position.

The career changer trajectory lasts 16 weeks and consists of:

• 10 weeks of training

You learn the basics of the technical trade at a recognized training provider. You receive practical training and learn the knowledge and skills you need to start working in technology.

• 6 weeks of practice

After that, you gain practical experience within one of our VDK companies. You shadow experienced colleagues and discover how things work in daily practice.

Does it suit both sides? Then the goal is to become employed at one of our VDK companies after the trajectory and to further develop yourself into a technical professional.

You do not need to have a technical education or work experience. We are primarily looking for someone who:

• gets enthusiastic about technology and practical work;

• wants to learn a new trade;

• is motivated to develop themselves;

• is not afraid to roll up their sleeves;

• keeps agreements and takes responsibility;

• can collaborate well;

• speaks and understands Dutch;

• wants to work safely and carefully.

Experience in technology? That's a plus. No experience? No problem.
