Work Preparer W in the Netherlands

Are you technically strong, do you like to maintain an overview, and is your foundation in mechanical installation technology?

As a Work Preparer B at Ewald in Drachten, you will ensure the good preparation of diverse projects. The emphasis lies on mechanical engineering, but you will also deal with electrical engineering. This allows you to work broadly, gain a lot of responsibility, and develop yourself further.

As a Work Preparer, you ensure that projects are well prepared from start to finish. You work closely with project management, technicians, suppliers, and other involved parties.

• Your duties include

• Creating calculations and quotes for, among other things, central heating boilers, heat pumps, ventilation systems, boilers, sewerage, and water installations.

• Translating customer questions and appointments into clear work preparation.

• Checking drawings and adjusting them where necessary.

• Determining materials, ordering them, and ensuring they are available on time.

• Drafting, recording, and monitoring additional and reduced work.

• Monitoring planning, progress, and agreements made.

• Advising the project leader on technology, costs, and feasibility, and working closely with the other work preparer.

You work on various projects in the Northern Netherlands. Because of this, no two days are exactly the same. One time you are busy with the technical preparation of a residential construction project, the next time you are supporting a utility project.

You are technically minded, work in a structured manner, and want to do more than just work preparation. You are curious about the full project process and have the ambition to further develop yourself and eventually grow towards becoming a project leader.

You don't need to be able to do everything yet. More important is that you have technical insight, show initiative, and like to take on responsibility.

Furthermore, you bring:

• You have a technical background in mechanical engineering or installation technology.

• You have technical insight and maintain an overview of drawings, materials, planning, and agreements.

• You communicate easily with customers, suppliers, and colleagues.

• You work accurately, independently, and think practically in solutions.

• Experience with work preparation, drafting, calculation, or project administration is a plus.

• Knowledge of electrical engineering is a plus; more importantly, you are open to further developing yourself in this area.
