We are looking for a BMI Technical Administrator in the Hoofddorp and Aalsmeer area.

As a BMI Technical Administrator, you will be on the road a lot and work daily on-site at various clients, such as schools, healthcare institutions, and office buildings. You start from home and visit an average of 6 to 7 addresses per day.

Upon arrival, you check in properly and inform the client that you are coming to test the BMI fire alarm system. You indicate that there may be brief noise nuisance, so that everyone can take this into account.

You set the installation to test mode, so that alarms are not forwarded to the monitoring station. Subsequently, you test various components, such as smoke detectors and manual call points, by simulating situations and checking whether alarms are received correctly. You carefully record your findings in the system.

In addition to testing the installation, you also keep an eye on the overall safety in the building. This includes things such as emergency exits and escape routes. Where necessary, you provide the client with both requested and unsolicited advice to further improve safety.

Afterwards, you set the installation back to normal mode, discuss your findings with the client, and check out properly before driving to the next location. You work primarily independently, but for larger or annual inspections, you sometimes work together with a colleague.

In broad terms, you will be engaged in:

• Managing and potentially maintaining fire alarm systems

• Registering activities and updating logbooks

• Informing customers about the results and progress of the work

• Providing customers with requested and unsolicited advice regarding fire safety

• Advising customers on fire safety and the use of their fire alarm system.

• Supporting service and maintenance colleagues with relevant findings.
