"My internship assignment was optimizing the walking distance for picking orders in an e-commerce warehouse. This essentially means creating an algorithm so that the locations of the products the company sells are distributed as well as possible. The algorithm takes two random products and then checks if the walking distance falls within a certain range. When this is not the case, the algorithm determines a better location without the other distances needing to be completely overhauled."
