As a Tax Compliance Manager at Van Oers at our Breda location, you take your advantage. You do this together; you work in a tax team with more than 50 colleagues. You look beyond the numbers and respond to what is truly happening with your clients. In this way, you make a direct impact on their business, the local economy, and society. You stay ahead by translating tax developments into practical solutions. Just do it, with confidence and craftsmanship. At the same time, you get all the space to grow: in knowledge, responsibility, and personal development.
At Van Oers, you work in a people-oriented organization where colleagues look out for one another and where you are given the space to be yourself. Do you want to know what is happening, think ahead, and make a difference together? Come work at Van Oers and become the Tax Compliance Manager who leads the way.
As Tax Compliance Manager, you coordinate the activities within the tax compliance practice. You ensure the planning and distribution of tax returns (CIT, PIT, and VAT) and the development of juniors and working students. You collect all necessary financial data and documentation from clients, and you analyze the collected financial data to determine which tax rules and regulations apply to the client's situation. Additionally, you prepare more complex tax returns (income tax and corporate tax) that meet legal requirements and provide advice where necessary.
A glimpse of your tasks:
You review the prepared tax returns, ensuring all necessary information is correct and complete;
You are responsible for your own tax return portfolio;
You identify bottlenecks and areas for improvement and provide suggestions and advice for improvement;
You manage the extension arrangements;
You maintain contact with the tax authorities on behalf of the client;
You guide juniors in the preparation of tax returns.
You possess problem-solving and analytical abilities. You are accurate, involved, integer, and customer-oriented. Additionally, you are communicatively skilled. During busy periods, you can keep a cool head and maintain an overview.
Furthermore, we ask:
A completed HBO (higher professional education) degree in Fiscal Economics, Tax Law, or Finance, Tax & Advice;
You bring at least 6 years of relevant work experience;
You have knowledge of various types of taxes, such as income tax and corporate tax.
With us, you may or rather must ‘just do it’. Saying what you do and doing what you say, that is how we work at Van Oers. We communicate clearly and honestly; we don't blow our own trumpet. Together with colleagues, partners, and clients, we put our shoulders to the wheel
Furthermore, we offer:
A suitable salary that aligns with your knowledge and relevant work experience for this role;
Mobility budget where you decide how to use it;
Non-contributory pension with the possibility of tax-advantaged supplementary savings;
Laptop and mobile phone;
Study scheme;
Possibility to work partially from home;
Home office allowance of €2.45 per day;
€1200,- budget from Coolblue to set up your home workspace after completing your probationary period;
A well-developed onboarding process in which you get to know the organization, tasks, and colleagues.
