Requirements

What we're looking for

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in controlling or finance operations, preferably in SaaS.

  • Deep understanding of SaaS concepts such as MRR and ARR, and the difference between ARR and revenue.

  • Experience working independently in a financial system, where you can also set up simple things yourself if necessary. Think of Exact, Younium, Payhawk, or something similar.

  • Good Excel skills.

  • Affinity with data quality and with reporting tools such as Tableau.

  • Excellent command of Dutch and good English: you communicate weekly with the (international) accounting department.

How you work: you are accurate under time pressure, because the close does not shift. If something is incorrect, you report it yourself, even if it is uncomfortable. You are curious and proactive and enjoy improving processes.

Pay & benefits

What you'll get

  • A competitive salary and excellent secondary benefits, including 8% holiday allowance and a pension scheme.

  • An appointment of 32 hours (0.8 FTE), with hybrid working from our building at the IJ in Amsterdam.

  • A personal training budget and a travel allowance.

  • An enjoyable position with the space to establish processes that do not yet exist.

  • A driven team of professionals working from shared values, with short lines to the management team.

  • Unlimited use of all programs on our own e-health platform, and initiatives surrounding health and vitality.

  • At Therapieland, we are convinced that diversity in teams leads to better innovation and better care. We therefore explicitly invite candidates who enrich the composition of our team to apply.

The role

Therapieland is growing fast, and with it, the number of customers and invoices. This requires someone who follows the revenue closely: checking the invoicing, delivering the monthly figures, and understanding how the figures relate to what is happening commercially.

You will become the owner of the operational finance cycle: the revenue, annual and monthly reporting, and supporting colleagues and customers with invoicing questions.

What you'll do

You will work on the reporting of the monthly figures, be responsible for the (data) quality of our revenue, and support the support team with complex questions regarding invoices and prices. Together with the bookkeeper, you ensure that the annual accounts are prepared and tax returns are filed.

You check the invoicing in Younium, explain differences between ARR and booked revenue, and ensure that the data quality in our financial systems is good. Additionally, you manage accounts receivable and act as the point of contact for Support regarding difficult invoices and pricing questions.

You report directly to the Head of Finance and work daily with Support, the accounting department, and revenue operations. This puts you close to the decision-making of the management team.

  • Revenue operations: you check the invoice batch in Younium, perform the quality control on the revenue, handle corrections and credit notes, and carry out order and usage checks. You implement controls to remove errors from the revenue cycle before the invoices are sent out.

  • Alignment between business and accounting: you place MRR alongside the booked revenue, explain the differences, and resolve them. A difference that you cannot explain, you do not leave standing.

  • Accounts receivable and invoicing: you manage the accounts receivable position and actively contact customers when necessary. Support can come to you with difficult invoices, price and discount questions, and you set up complex customers in Younium. The invoicing itself is handled by the support team.

  • Financial reporting: you prepare the monthly financial report and the finance review for Visma. The Head of Finance signs off; you ensure it is correct and on time.

  • Forecasting and budgeting: you support the Head of Finance in creating a reliable forecast and the budgets.

  • Finance operations: you track approvals and receipts in Payhawk and manage the finance setup in Younium. In doing so, you monitor data quality, because a report is only as good as the data beneath it.

  • Tax, subsidies, and annual accounts: you prepare the VAT return, the annual accounts, WBSO, and SLIM, and coordinate with the accountant.

  • Projects you will establish: accounts receivable management, cash management, a control framework with an audit trail, data quality controls on revenue, and the operational side of pricing and packaging.

  • Invoicing is done by the support team, and accounting is done by our bookkeeper. So, you do not have to do this yourself. However, you do oversee the quality and the alignment with the business.

No two days are the same, but the rhythm is. Monthly: the close, the reconciliation of revenue, and the reporting to Visma. Weekly: accounts receivable, order and usage checks, and the weekly start with Support. Daily: Payhawk and questions from colleagues and customers. Around that, you leave room for investigation, system setup, and analyses.

You will be assessed on results: among other things, monthly figures that are on time and reconciled, no unexplained differences between MRR and booked revenue, and the accounts receivable position.

About Therapieland

The accessibility of mental healthcare has been under pressure for years. The supply is not keeping pace with a demand that continues to grow, with increasing waiting times as an inevitable consequence.

At Therapieland, we work towards a different outcome. With our digital solutions, we enable organizations to organize value-driven mental care around the person. In this way, we support professionals and their clients in mental healthcare and the social domain on a daily basis.

We do this by developing inspiring, intelligent, and connecting psychology on demand. Together mentally resilient.

Everyone who works here does so out of conviction: the desire to contribute to something that transcends their own role. At the same time, as part of Visma, we embrace the opportunities offered by new technology with both hands. It is precisely that combination of social mission and technological boldness that makes Therapieland distinctive.

Who are you?

You enjoy diving into the figures and will keep searching until you understand why something deviates. And you look beyond the figure itself: you want to know what it means for the business. You enjoy working with colleagues to maintain the high quality of the figures.

What makes this role special?

You are not just one link in a finance department of twenty people. You are the link.

The effect of your work is directly visible. You ensure that the figures are correct and align with the business. The package is broad: operational work and the alignment with the business, with room to grow towards analyses and business control.

The lines are short. You report directly to the Head of Finance and are close to the decision-making of the management team. You work in an organization that is a market leader in digital mental healthcare in the Netherlands, with the stability and learning network of Visma and the tempo of a scale-up. Furthermore, within Visma, you will find a large finance community to share knowledge with.

And the work truly matters. Every invoice that is correct and every report that is on time sustains the organization that helps people become mentally resilient every day.

What do we offer?

Interested? Are you the one who ensures our figures are correct and we have the right insights to make an impact? Then apply immediately.
