The role
Are you a born leader with strong analytical and communication skills? Do you want to work on challenging projects that contribute to the energy transition and the future of the Dutch energy grid? Then the position of Project Leader at Siers might be for you!
What you'll do
As Project Leader, you are responsible for the entire project process, from start to completion. You lead the construction team, where Siers provides not only the execution but also the engineering. Additionally, you map out risks, solve problems efficiently, and ensure that all activities are carried out in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
You guarantee the quality, safety, and return on investment of your projects. You coordinate the deployment of people and resources, maintain communication between all stakeholders, and monitor financial progress, about which you report to the operations manager.
In this position, you will work on projects aimed at strengthening the power grid, a crucial step in the energy transition. Due to the increasing demand for electricity, caused by the rise of renewable energy sources such as solar panels, electric vehicles, and heat pumps, the electricity grid is being more heavily loaded in many places. To accommodate this growing load, we must significantly expand the power grid.
In collaboration with grid operator Enexis, we are tackling this expansion with a neighborhood-oriented approach (WGA), in which we make smart use of data to predict where bottlenecks will arise in the coming years. These bottlenecks are addressed neighborhood by neighborhood to reduce nuisance and to work faster and more efficiently. You will be involved in activities such as replacing cables and installing and improving transformer stations to ensure the reliability of the power supply and to be prepared for future growth.
What do you bring?
You are proactive, communicative, and know how to motivate and inspire your team.
You possess leadership qualities to deliver projects successfully, on time, and within budget.
You can work independently as a project leader.
