Pedagogical Staff Member | KDV Westendorp Amsterdam

A safe foundation is no accident, that is pure craftsmanship! Your work as a pedagogical staff member at the daycare center in Amsterdam is certainly not child's play.

Welcome to Westendorp - where discovery, play, and growth come together

Westendorp is part of the Fiep Westendorp broad school in Amsterdam: a lively, inspiring place where children experience new adventures every day. Our childcare works with horizontal groups, so that we can closely align with the developmental stage of every child. Additionally, we have a special group where extra attention is given to language and learning development (VVE Uk & Puk).

At Westendorp, it is all about learning through play. You stimulate the development of children by singing together, reading aloud, crafting, and playing. We work with recognizable and varied themes such as the seasons, traffic, or wild animals. Is the theme winter? Then we sing _Dag meneer de sneeuwman_, build an igloo from empty milk cartons, read about adventurous penguins, and go outside to feel how a frozen leaf feels. That is how the day flies by - for the children and for you.

You will join a warm, multicultural team with a beautiful mix of ages, nationalities, and experiences. We learn from each other, laugh a lot, and are always there for one another. Together with our colleagues from after-school care, we ensure a continuous line and a familiar environment in which children feel safe and seen.

Westendorp is a place where your ideas are welcome, where you truly make an impact, and where no two days are the same. Does that sound like a place where you want to work? Then we would love to get to know you!
