Pedagogical Supervisor | Rotterdam | New location

Have you always wanted to be part of a team that is going to set up a new location? Vesper BSO+ is growing and will soon be opening a new location in Rotterdam! For this new location, we are looking for a Pedagogical Supervisor with experience in the field of behavioral and/or developmental issues.

As a Pedagogical Supervisor, you will establish a safe climate in the group where learning, playing, and relaxing are central. These are the three (most important) pillars that we offer children at Vesper BSO+. Together with a colleague, you will manage a group of 8 to 10 children who play in small groups or specifically alone. You guide the children and ensure structure, clarity, and positive reinforcement in the choices the children make. 

In a structured and safe environment, children are given the space to (learn to) relax, play, and practice a bit of independence and social contact. 

As a Pedagogical Supervisor, you devise activities that contribute to putting learned skills into practice or where skills can be improved in contact with other children. With this, you can think of situations that increase the social skills of a 10-year-old boy with autism or that strengthen the self-image of an anxious 7-year-old girl. Knowledge and experience with the target group, children with a developmental disorder such as autism or ADHD, is therefore indispensable.

You are a true doer with a big heart for children. Taking initiative and working independently gives you a lot of energy. It is your mission to offer the children a pleasant BSO afternoon in which you provide both structure and security, as well as a fun activity. You can communicate and collaborate well. A must when you work with our children.

You possess the following qualifications

• You have a completed Mbo or Hbo education in the direction of pedagogy (SPW 3 or 4, educational assistant, Hbo pedagogy, applied psychology with youth/education exit profile, sport and movement with youth/education exit profile)
• You preferably have experience guiding children in our target group, or you have experience as a pedagogical staff member in childcare and would like to specialize. 
• You are an enthusiastic, social, and driven person who has a proactive and independent working attitude;
• You reside in Rotterdam or the surrounding area;
• You are looking for a long-term challenge!
