The role
Every child has a right to childcare, right?
We at Vesper believe they do. Vesper is the very first BSO+ in the Amsterdam region and surrounding areas. We offer after-school care to children of primary school age with extra care needs due to their (mild) intellectual disability or developmental disorder such as autism or ADHD.
We are very passionate and driven to scale up Vesper BSO+ and provide a solution for as many parents as possible in the Randstad and ultimately throughout the Netherlands.
What you'll do
As a Pedagogical Supervisor, you will be the steady and familiar face of our new location in The Hague. For parents, schools, and colleagues, you are the first point of contact and ensure that the location runs smoothly.
Together with the Pedagogical Supervisors and Location Coordinator, you ensure a safe climate within the group, where learning, playing, and relaxing are central. These are the three (most important) pillars at Vesper BSO+ that we offer the children. Together with a colleague, you will manage a group of 8 to 10 children who play in small groups or individually. You guide the children and provide structure, clarity, and positive reinforcement in the choices the children make. In a structured and safe environment, children are given the space to (learn to) relax, play, and practice a bit of independence and social contact.
In addition to working in the group for a number of afternoons, as a group supervisor plus, you hold ultimate responsibility for the location. This includes extra duties such as creating plans, and contacting parents, the municipality, and schools. Additionally, you ensure that all reports regarding the children are in order, ensure there is a well-stocked fridge and pantry, and provide requested and unsolicited advice regarding the daily operations, child planning, and development of the location.

Vesper offers you not only an incredibly fun and dynamic working environment, we place great value on your talent and personal development. Own initiative and input are highly valued, surprise us with your ideas! Additionally, Vesper offers you as a group supervisor:
- A one-year contract for the number of days per week you wish to work, with a view to permanent employment;
- A monthly salary of € 2,539 to € 3,489 gross (scale 6 CAO Kinderopvang) based on a 36-hour work week;
- 8% holiday allowance and a year-end bonus of 4%;
- 210 vacation and leave hours per year, but only if you promise to return (based on a 36-hour work week);
- A reimbursement of your travel expenses;
- Various opportunities to further develop yourself as a specialist!
