Senior VAT Tax Advisor

• A completed university Master's in Tax Law or Fiscal Economics
• At least 5 years of relevant experience in tax practice, with a clear specialization in VAT
• In-depth technical knowledge and the ability to apply it strategically
• Experience with independently managing complex advisory projects
• An entrepreneurial mindset: you see opportunities, take initiative, and dare to take responsibility
• Strong communication skills and persuasiveness at all levels
• Coaching qualities and enjoyment in developing colleagues
• Excellent command of the Dutch language

As a Senior VAT Tax Advisor, you are a technical driver within Newtone. You advise medium-sized enterprises and organizations on complex and often strategic VAT issues and act as a trusted advisor at executive and management levels. You oversee the playing field, think ahead, and translate laws and regulations into sustainable and practical solutions. At the same time, you play an important role in the development of the team and our VAT services.

• You independently advise at a high level on complex national and international VAT issues
• You lead extensive advisory and implementation projects and monitor quality, progress, and impact
• You maintain and develop your own client portfolio and build sustainable relationships
• You identify opportunities in the market and actively contribute to business development and propositions
• You are a technical sparring partner for fellow advisors and act as a mentor for junior and medior team members
• You follow developments in laws and regulations closely and translate these into strategic insights for both clients and Newtone
• You contribute ideas regarding the further positioning and growth of our VAT practice
