Senior Infrastructure Automation Engineer (Linux / Ansible)

You are familiar with several of the products, technologies, and knowledge areas mentioned below, and know how to apply them regularly in your work:

• Extensive experience with the technical management of private cloud environments
• Automation via Red Hat Ansible (certified or demonstrated work experience);
• Automated provisioning of IaaS and PaaS services;
• Secure by Design;
• Red Hat RHCSA certification is a plus; demonstrable work experience with RHEL carries equal weight.

As a Senior Infrastructure Automation Engineer, you are responsible for executing the project activities at our client. You dive into complex architecture and security issues daily. You translate the chosen strategy into concrete solution building blocks based on the latest developments within your field of expertise and work on both the configuration and implementation sides. You have an outside-in view, which means you can easily find your own way within Kyndryl, check references, and apply best practices.

As a Senior Infrastructure Automation Engineer, you will proactively take charge of your activities based on your knowledge and personal attitude. This ranges from translating the design into a realization and setting up the corresponding rollout instructions. Additionally, you are a point of reference for third-line questions: when it comes to knowledge, you are the first point of contact. You devise tactical solutions for the client and design them thoroughly. Think of issues regarding connections, migrations, security, and determining required performance. In short, a varied job with a lot of independence!

As a Senior Infrastructure Automation Engineer, you must also assist other teams with automation. Therefore, good skills in transferring knowledge and training others are important. Furthermore, documentation and the ability to articulate concepts well are important. For example, the input that must be provided for a test strategy.

Your responsibilities include:

• Automating manual tasks;

• Technical setup and management of the (cloud) environments;

• Performing upgrades (new versions of components) and updates (patches);

• Logging, monitoring, optimization of the environments;

• Setting up and using CI/CD;

• Release Management;

• Capacity Management;

• Setting up management processes.

The Role

You will work at locations in central Netherlands (client site) and in Hoofddorp (Kyndryl office). You will work hybrid: partly on-site with the team in central Netherlands, partly from home. We will coordinate the precise distribution together.

Requirements for this position: a Dutch passport is required for this assignment and you must be proficient in Dutch, both spoken and written. You will undergo a security screening (VGB) conducted by the MIVD. Kyndryl will guide you through this process.

Experience with automation on an enterprise scale carries more weight for us than a specific certificate. Who You Are

• Knowledge of Linux (RHEL 8 and/or 9);
• Scripting, specifically Ansible, Infrastructure as Code, Python or PowerShell;
• Container technologies (Kubernetes), CI/CD tooling, GitLab;
• Hyperconverged infrastructure, for example Nutanix.

• A gross monthly salary of €5,400 to €5,900, based on fourteen months. Including holiday allowance and a thirteenth month, this amounts to €75,600 to €82,600 gross per year.
