As a Junior Data Scientist, you are part of the Data Analytics team for Kruidvat (Netherlands and Belgium) and Trekpleister. Together with other Data Scientists, Data Analysts, and Data Engineers, you will work on diverse projects in the fields of sales forecasting, logistics planning, assortment optimization, product recommendations, and customer and purchasing behavior. By developing smart data solutions, you help the business with concrete insights and advice based on analyses and models. As the largest Health & Beauty retailer in the Benelux, we possess a wealth of data from more than 4 million customers whom we serve every week in over 1,500 stores and online.

What will you do in the role of Junior Data Scientist?

• Developing data science solutions: Together with colleagues, you develop solutions in Databricks and Azure that provide the business with direct handles to make adjustments.
• Modeling with large datasets: You collaborate on predictive and prescriptive models using combined data and work together with teams from CRM, Trading, Marketing, eCommerce, Logistics, and Operations.
• Contributing to technological development: You contribute to the development of our technology and tooling, such as utility packages and improving the MLOps methodology.
• Continuing to learn and innovate: You follow innovations within data science and determine together with the team how these can contribute to our ambitions.
• Developing expertise: You further develop yourself in the field of models and statistics and work closely with colleagues within the Data Science team.
