The role

From ransomware to data breaches: you are on the front line of cyber crises. Work together with top specialists, solve complex incidents, and help organizations emerge stronger from an attack. At the same time, you will develop yourself into an expert in incident response, digital forensics, cyber recovery, and cyber resilience.

What you'll do

In the role of (Senior) Consultant Incident Response and Recovery at KPMG, you play an essential role during crisis situations at leading organizations. You perform technical log analyses during Incident Response and Recovery assignments. In doing so, you are the central hub between the client and your team.

  • Together with your team, you investigate digital forensic traces and analyze technical security measures following incidents.
  • You evaluate the security of critical systems, identify vulnerabilities in business processes, and support various recovery activities. In doing so, you make use of a wide range of technical tooling and driven (sr.) consultants and managers.
  • You advise the client regarding the cyber incident and recovery strategies and coordinate the various workflows and stakeholders.
  • You measure the organization's resilience during cyber incidents (incident readiness) and advise the client on the practical and strategic next steps to increase resilience.

In this, you will often switch between different communication styles. One moment you are speaking with non-technical decision-makers about priorities and possible solutions, the next moment you are diving deeper into specific security settings with IT or security personnel.

As part of our broad KPMG Cyber & TechLaw team, you will work together with enthusiastic, ambitious professionals. Our expertise ranges from strategic issues and implementation of technical security platforms to legal advice regarding laws and regulations. The diversity of our team ensures a dynamic and inspiring environment in which you can grow and develop.
