As Store Manager, you have ultimate responsibility for one of Jumbo's franchise stores. Every day, you encourage your employees to turn customers into true Jumbo fans. You do this by coaching them and providing positive feedback. In doing so, you create an open and safe environment in which everyone can say what he or she thinks and can work on their own development and growth. Additionally, you build a network of parties in your market area. Colleagues from other stores, but also, for example, people from the municipality. And do not forget the supporting colleagues at the head office. You need them all to make 'your' Jumbo a success: together, entrepreneurship, winning. Just as the relationship with your Assistant Store Manager is very important. If you concentrate on inventory management, goods processing, quality, and HACCP, she will deal more with commercial policy and customer contact. Or vice versa, that choice is yours. Naturally, you remain ultimately responsible. Furthermore:

• You develop a vision of where you want to go with your store. You are an entrepreneur who is always looking for opportunities within and outside the store. How can your Jumbo store fulfill the wishes of the customer even better? You know the answer.
• You share that vision with your team - particularly with your assistant, the specialists, and your team leaders.
• You ensure appropriate staff planning and a commercial plan, both for the short and long term.
