What we're looking for

At least 2 years of leadership experience, for example as an assistant store manager or as a store manager of a (smaller) clothing store, in retail, supermarkets, hospitality, or a similar environment. You are ready for your next leadership step.
Commercial insight: you manage based on figures, see opportunities on the shop floor, and get your team on board to achieve goals.
Strong and connecting: you are accessible to your team, but you also address colleagues when necessary, even if they have been working at HEMA for many years longer than you.
Service-oriented: you get energy from customer contact and ensure that customers feel welcome.
You speak and write fluent, professional Dutch. This is essential for managing your team and for providing good service to our customers.
You are regularly available on Saturdays.

The role

As a supervisor, you are the engine of HEMA Den Bosch. There is no layer between you and the store manager: you are the right hand and often the first point of contact on the floor. You lead a diverse team, from young colleagues with their first part-time job and part-timers combining work and private life, to experienced colleagues who know the trade inside out. What you'll do

a store that is ready for our customers every day, on time, tidy, and well-organized;
the right staffing at the right moment, also on busy days and in case of unexpected absences;

achieving commercial goals. In doing so, you actively think along about what can be done better or differently;
the recruitment, development, and appraisal of your colleagues, including the difficult conversations that go along with it;
