- You are empathetic and culturally sensitive, but at the same time know how to maintain professional boundaries.

The role
Do you want to run independent consultations in primary care for asylum seekers?
What you'll do
You will work within primary care at various asylum seeker centers in the Alkmaar region. Due to the varying inflow and outflow of residents and the opening and closing of reception locations, your work location may vary.
You will have daily contact with patients of different ages, cultures, and nationalities. The size of the reception locations varies greatly, meaning every workplace has its own dynamics and care needs. In the event of language barriers, an interpreter or other methods of communication can be used.
You will work within a multidisciplinary team and, together with other healthcare professionals, contribute to accessible and appropriate primary care. As a practice nurse, you are an important point of contact for patients and work independently within your own responsibilities.
- Independently running consultations and assessing diverse physical and mental care needs.
- Guiding patients with chronic conditions and providing information and self-care advice.
- Offering and coordinating complex nursing care and involving the GP where necessary.
- Collaborating with GPs, medical assistants, POH-GGZ (mental health nurse practitioners), and other healthcare professionals.
- Coordinating with involved chain partners, such as the COA, pharmacies, and medical specialists.
How you'll work
This assignment runs for a longer period, 24 to 38 hours per week, at asylum seeker centers in the Alkmaar region. A day shift yields up to €31.07 per hour. You will become part of a multidisciplinary team and work from 08:30 to 17:00.
