At Futurewhiz, we have one mission that connects us all:
Empowering every child to grow by shaping the future of personalized learning for the next generation.
Every day, we create digital learning products that challenge, motivate, and help children aged 3 to 18 grow. For Futurewhiz, we are looking for a creative, enthusiastic Marketing Lead. Do you want to help thousands of children and teenagers learn in a playful way? Then we are looking for you!
At Futurewhiz, we build digital learning products that help children and young people grow. With brands like Squla and StudyGo, we support hundreds of thousands of students in their development every year. As a B Corp, we combine commercial growth with social impact.
With Squla, we help more than half a million primary school students learn every day through games, quizzes, and interactive exercises that align with Dutch education.
StudyGo (formerly WRTS) is the go-to learning platform for secondary school students. Every year, more than 650,000 students use StudyGo to prepare for tests and exams. From learning vocabulary and completing assignments to chatting with tutors and participating in group lessons: we offer a complete toolset to help students succeed.
The Lead Marketing Squla is responsible for sustainable growth, a strong brand position, and (more) customer value. You connect brand, performance, and retention into one marketing strategy and ensure that marketing structurally contributes to the growth of the active and paying user base.
From a marketing perspective, you are also responsible for the development of target audiences, market approach, and demand for Squla's products. Together with, among others, Product, Engineering, Education, Design, Data, and Customer Service, you translate customer and market insights into stronger propositions, product choices, go-to-market plans, and a great customer journey.
In this role, you are a working leader: you provide direction, set priorities, and develop the team, but you remain close to the content and step into execution yourself where necessary.
One of the most important challenges for Squla is to more strongly bring together the various propositions developed within the platform in recent years, such as Squla Junior, into one recognizable Squla brand and one cohesive product. Additionally, we actively research and develop new target audiences, markets, and alternative revenue streams under the Squla brand.
Developing and monitoring the integrated marketing strategy for brand, performance, and retention, and translating this into a concrete roadmap.
Translating business goals and proposition priorities into choices regarding target audiences, positioning, market approach, budgets, and channels.
Developing and validating propositions in collaboration with product teams that align with the needs of existing and new target audiences.
Developing demand and commercial potential for existing and new Squla products, from insight and positioning to go-to-market, activation, and scaling.
Identifying and developing opportunities for new markets, partnerships, and alternative revenue streams under the Squla brand.
Ensuring that all propositions contribute to one recognizable brand and a cohesive product and customer experience.
Leading brand strategy, positioning, messaging, and brand consistency for Squla.
Deepening target audience and market insights and translating these into propositions, campaigns, content, partnerships, and media choices.
Building brand preference, trust, educational value, and differentiation among existing and new target audiences.
Monitoring creative quality and a consistent application of the Squla brand across products and channels.
Taking ultimate responsibility for acquisition strategy, growth goals, and the performance of paid and organic channels.
Steering based on the full funnel, including conversion, CPA, trial-to-paid, engagement, churn, and LTV.
Developing the lifecycle and retention strategy, focused on activation, usage, renewal, and reactivation.
Continuously improving campaigns, targeting, messaging, landing pages, tracking, and customer journeys based on data and experiments.
Connecting marketing communication, product experience, and educational value, so that users experience the value of Squla at the right moment.
Providing direction to a team of marketing specialists and ensuring clear goals, ownership, prioritization, and professional development.
Leading and executing important marketing initiatives yourself, especially when these affect multiple disciplines or are decisive for growth, brand, or proposition development.
Creating alignment between Marketing, Product, Engineering, Education, Design, Data, and Customer Service regarding goals, choices, and impact.
Contributing insights about target audiences, brand perception, funnels, and customer behavior into product and proposition decisions.
Steering towards a data-informed way of working and a clear experimentation rhythm; translating results into conclusions, choices, and follow-up actions.
Stimulating commercial thinking, creativity, continuous learning, and the effective and responsible use of AI.
You connect brand, product, acquisition, retention, and revenue models and make sharp choices in priorities and investments.
You recognize patterns in data and research and translate these into clear decisions and concrete growth opportunities.
You understand what moves different target audiences and build relevance and brand preference based on those insights.
You see opportunities for new propositions, markets, and revenue streams and know how to validate them step-by-step.
You provide direction in complex situations, create alignment, and help people grow with clear expectations and feedback.
One clear, supported marketing strategy in which brand, performance, and retention reinforce each other.
A strong and consistent Squla brand and a cohesive product and customer experience.
Growth of the active and paying subscriber base with healthy efficiency and higher customer value.
Demonstrable development of existing and new target audiences and increased demand for Squla's propositions.
Validated opportunities for market expansion and alternative revenue streams under the Squla brand.
A strong marketing team that takes ownership, learns, innovates, collaborates with other teams, and uses AI effectively.
