Allround Forklift and Reach Truck Operator - 2 Shifts (all genders) in the Netherlands

• You possess a valid forklift certificate or are willing to obtain one in the short term;

• You have an MBO (vocational) level of working and thinking. Experience in the food industry is a plus;
• You speak fluent Dutch;

Employment conditions

• Salary between €2,800 and €3,400 gross per month (full-time, excluding 10%-15% shift allowance), depending on experience and suitability for the position;
• A 36-hour work week, 5% end-of-year bonus, 8% holiday allowance, and a pension scheme;

As an allround forklift operator, you play an important role in the logistical process of our cheese production. You assist with loading and unloading trucks, check waybills, and guide drivers on-site. You ensure that waste and rejected products are processed correctly and keep the workspace tidy. You also perform visual inspections on cheeses ready for transport. During quiet moments, you assist in other departments and contribute ideas for smart planning of loading and unloading. In the warehouse, you work with a reach truck or side loader to store cheeses safely, including in high racking. You ensure that the correct products arrive at the packaging line on time and keep a close eye on the stock. Do you notice something unusual about a cheese? Then you take immediate action.

At the packaging line, you are responsible for the supply and removal of pallets. You label everything neatly according to the agreements and work with a forklift to move loads at height. You work in a refrigerated space of approximately 6°C; you will, of course, receive suitable clothing for this. You support the operators on the line and keep a close eye on the process. Additionally, you process data in systems such as SAP, help with meeting the daily schedule, and follow safety and hygiene rules. You also perform inspection rounds and actively contribute ideas on how we can do our work smarter and better.

In Steenderen, we make cheese, and not just any cheese. Two of our cheeses won the largest cheese competition in the world in 2022. With a team of over 100 colleagues, we ensure every day that the fresh milk from our member dairy farmers is processed into cheese.
