Biological Analyst Intern

Eurofins BioPharma Product Testing Leiden B.V., part of the globally operating Eurofins Scientific network, is a leading GMP-certified contract laboratory serving the (bio)pharmaceutical industry. Located in the Leiden Bio Science Park, we offer an extensive range of microbiological, viral, chemical, and physical quality control testing for pharmaceutical raw materials, intermediates, and finished products. In addition to our standard testing packages, we develop and validate product-specific methods in close collaboration with our customers, and we also offer small-scale production services.

Testing: Endotoxin, Sterility testing, Bioburden, Environmental Monitoring, Growth promotion testing, Bacteriophage, agar, broth, indicator cells, and qPCR.

The internship vacancy is for the Business Unit BioSafety Testing.

Within the Business Unit BioSafety Testing, our company offers unique tests with which we can investigate the safety, effectiveness, and quality of a biological medicinal product, including cell and gene therapies, vaccines, and monoclonal antibodies. For example, we can demonstrate whether a medicinal product is free from microbial, viral, or production process-related contaminations. In addition to performing standard tests, we also set up product-specific tests in close collaboration with the customer. 

For our lab teams at BioSafety Testing, we are looking for motivated interns to come and strengthen our team while simultaneously gaining knowledge and experience at our company. 

As a Biological Analyst Intern, you will collaborate with your team as much as possible and you will be trained in the techniques for which we currently have a high workload, so that you can work independently. Our team of analysts is, of course, there to help you on your way and guide you. After completing specific training, it is important that you are able to work neatly and accurately, both independently and as part of a team, within a laboratory. 

We currently have internship positions available within Team Microbiology:

 Will you come do an internship with us? We are looking for you if you recognize yourself in the following points: 

• You are looking for an MBO or HBO internship where you will be working in the lab; 
• You are following an MBO or HBO program where you learn about (micro)biological techniques;
• You are motivated to gain experience with various analysis techniques; 
• You have an excellent command of the Dutch language and a good command of the English language. Dutch is spoken within the team. However, many documents are in English and some colleagues outside the team speak limited Dutch. 

Internship start date: 1 February 2027 (if your desired start date differs from this, please let us know what is possible)

Interview procedure: The interview conversations will be scheduled as soon as possible. During these conversations, you will speak with the lab team leaders of the location.
