HR Officer

• A completed HBO (higher professional education) degree in Human Resource Management or a similar field.
• At least 2 years of relevant work experience within a broad HR role.
• Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations and experience with, for example, UWV trajectories and short-term absenteeism.
• A proactive, independent, and solution-oriented working attitude.
• You are accessible in your collaboration, strong in communication, and stand firm in your shoes. 
• Availability of 32 to 38 hours per week.
• Present on-site in Amsterdam at least 4 days per week.
• Experience with Microsoft Office; knowledge of AFAS is a plus.
• Good command of the Dutch and English languages.

Help build the HR department of an international organization

At Eurofins Milieu, you will get the chance to further develop yourself within a broad HR function. You will work together with experienced HR colleagues and be involved in almost all aspects of the HR profession: from recruitment and absenteeism to personnel administration and HR projects. Eurofins Milieu is one of the largest laboratory organizations in the Netherlands in the field of environmental research. With more than 800 colleagues, we work daily on analyses of water, soil, and air for clients such as Rijkswaterstaat, provinces, municipalities, and the business community. As an HR Officer, you are an important link within the HR team. You support colleagues, managers, and employees and ensure that HR processes run smoothly. You will work closely with the HR advisor at our office in Amsterdam. We are looking for someone who takes initiative and responsibility. 

Your duties include:

• Drafting employment agreements, contracts, and other HR documentation.
• Processing personnel changes in AFAS and managing personnel files.
• Maintaining leave, time registration, and absenteeism administration.
• Supporting recruitment, including posting vacancies and scheduling interviews.
• First point of contact for employees and managers regarding HR-related questions concerning onboarding, during employment, and offboarding.
• Supporting absenteeism management and administrative processes regarding the Wet Verbetering Poortwachter (Gatekeeper Improvement Act).
• Collaborating on HR projects and improvement initiatives, for example in the area of employee experience or process optimization.
