As a Civil Engineering designer/modeller at Dura Vermeer, you will work on the most leading infrastructure projects in the Netherlands - from roads and earthworks to dikes and flood protection. You translate complex issues into smart, executable designs and contribute to innovation within the field.
As a Civil Engineering designer/modeller, you will primarily work on various infrastructure projects, ranging from the construction of new roads to the reconstruction/redesign of roads. Also the modeling of various earthworks, such as embankments or excavations. Modeling new flood protection works (dikes) is also something you feel very much at home in.
Based on your expertise, you are involved in the largest projects and tenders within Dura Vermeer National Projects, but as a designer/modeller, you may also be requested for complex issues within our regional projects. Naturally, you are able to carry out your activities independently. You know better than anyone that your field is changing rapidly. Ideally, you are also active in cross-company working groups and have an affinity for automation within the field.
You have a strong sense of execution and actively seek collaboration with other disciplines. For you, designing is more than drawing: you think about efficiency, detailing, and the practical applicability of your work. You feel intrinsically responsible for your own product from A to Z and take the space for your own initiative. With ownership, enthusiasm, and persuasiveness, you guide fellow designers and present your designs clearly to team members and executing parties.
Then we are curious about you! You can apply directly via our website using the application button below the vacancy.

At Dura Vermeer, we prefer to recruit and select our candidates without the well-intentioned help of 'subcontractors'. In the event of acquisition, we reserve the right to charge for additional work.
Dura Vermeer is an independent family business. And you can notice that. In how we work together, look out for one another, and build with an eye for future generations. Since 1855, we have been building the Netherlands, in residential construction, utility construction, infrastructure, and technology. Our independence and long-term vision form the basis for this.
With a turnover of € 2.6 billion and over 3,700 colleagues, we are among the top of the Dutch construction sector. But ultimately, it is not about those figures for us. It is about people. About colleagues working together on projects you can be proud of—iconic and close to home—and contributing to solutions for societal issues.
Our ambitions are big. And we can only achieve them with committed people. That's why we invest in good employer practices and a working environment where you feel at home. Where you can be yourself, feel safe and speak your mind. So that you get the best out of yourself and, together with us, make more.
From the Dura Vermeer Infra National Projects offices ('s-Hertogenbosch or Utrecht) or at the various project locations in the Netherlands where the projects are being executed, you will get to work on various infra projects. You will do this together with driven colleagues from different disciplines. You will become part of the Civil Engineering Design department, within the Design cluster. The cluster currently consists of approximately 150 colleagues, through which we fulfill our ambition as a designing builder. Our projects are situated all over the Netherlands and range from the design of a new detached bicycle path in Almere to, among others, a large-scale new national highway connection and the construction of a new container terminal on the second Maasvlakte in Rotterdam.
