You will make it happen
You are the pivot between the customer, carrier, and internal teams. You organize transport, monitor shipments, keep documentation and compliance in order, and intervene when necessary. Maintaining control and ensuring that every shipment runs smoothly: you contribute to it.

How do you do this? You maintain an overview, switch gears quickly, and ensure that all parties involved know what is expected of them. You plan routes and transit times, arrange transport capacity, and collect and compare rates. You also prepare transport documents, coordinate customs formalities, and monitor applicable import and export regulations. In case of delays, damage, or other challenges, you take charge and ensure an appropriate solution. You will achieve this by:

• coordinating transport by sea, air, road, and rail, while communicating with carriers, our customer, customs, and warehouses;
• requesting and comparing freight rates and transport solutions, booking capacity, and organizing pickups and deliveries;
• monitoring shipments and proactively informing our customer;
• providing and checking transport and customs documentation (B/L, AWB, packing lists, invoices, manifests);
• quickly identifying, escalating, and resolving deviations;
• monitoring compliance and, where applicable, requirements regarding dangerous goods.

• a number of years of work experience with air and/or sea freight breakbulk shipments. Think, for example, of a role as an expeditor, forwarder, or project specialist;
• knowledge of Incoterms is a must, knowledge of customs regulations is a plus;
• experience with CargoWise or a TMS is a plus;
• strong problem-solving skills and you are a negotiator;
• an energetic work attitude, you honor agreements, and strive for the highest achievable customer satisfaction.
