Requirements

What we're looking for

You understand the Flair woman (and perhaps you are a bit like her). You have a sense for language and humor, know what is happening, and are eager to get started. Furthermore:

You are a HBO or WO student in, for example, Journalism, Communication, Media & Culture, or a similar program.
You have a great pen, with an eye for tone of voice and target audience.
You are bursting with ideas and are not afraid to share them.
You live on Insta and TikTok, and speak in memes.
You are accurate, proactive, and quickly master online tools (CMS, social dashboards).
You are available from November/December for at least 4 - 5 days per week for the duration of your internship period.

Nice to have

Experience in a similar editorial environment is a plus (but not a must).

The role

Amsterdam - Flair is the place for the young woman (25-45 years old) who wants to get the most out of life and herself. We create stories that inspire, surprise, and help women stand more self-assuredly in life. We are always looking for fresh ideas, a sharp pen, and great social skills. As an intern at Flair, you won't be making coffee: you are a full member of our team. You come up with ideas, write, and post on the site and socials.

What you'll do

No two days are the same (and we love it). You will:

Come up with subjects that resonate with the target audience yourself, pitch ideas to colleagues, arrange interviews, and write articles.
Think along with and collaborate on social formats: from Instagram reels to TikToks, from idea to execution and publication. You know what the target audience wants to see.
Respond to and communicate with our followers, brainstorm about how we can make our community even more fun, and analyze what works (and what doesn't).
Brainstorm during editorial meetings, help with content planning, and help translate stories from the magazine to online.
And if you want: occasionally attend events, make videos, or set up your own column. Anything is possible, as long as it gives you energy.
