The role
We offer you an Ocean of Possibilities. Join our family.
As a member of the dock and slipway team at the Oudeschild location, you will work in a versatile and varied role. You will work in a team to assist with docking and undocking ships. Once the ship is dry, you will perform repair activities such as the (dis)assembly of propellers, rudders, propeller shafts, welding work, and maintenance of anchor and chain gear.
This is a special and unique trade that you do not learn in school and which places heavy demands on your physical condition. Work may also take place outside of regular working hours, requiring the appropriate mentality. You are precise and have a good safety awareness. Do you already have technical knowledge and want to grow further in the trade? Within a few years, you can grow into the position of dock machinist.
