For this position, the salary is between € 4,900 and € 5,400 gross per month (based on full-time employment), excluding holiday allowance. We determine the exact grading based on your knowledge and experience. This position falls under the CAO (Metalektro;
27 vacation days and 13 ADV days based on full-time employment;

The role

What you'll do

Setting up and maintaining projects in the ERP system (IFS)
Keeping financial overviews up to date on a daily basis
Collecting, checking, and analyzing cost information
Identifying deviations, risks, and opportunities and proactively discussing these with the Project Manager

Calculation, quotes & invoicing

Analyzing quotes, contracts, and technical specifications
Preparing calculations for extra and reduced work based on internal input and own observations
Preparing and drafting extra work quotes and complete, correct final invoices

Project Support

Regularly visiting projects to accurately assess activities and cost impact
Translating technical information into clear financial consequences
Contributing to process improvements within project finance and calculation processes

The role
As a Cost Engineer, you are the financial hub within our project organization. You support the Project Manager from the start of a project through to the final invoicing. You analyze costs, process extra and reduced work, prepare calculations and (final) invoices, and explain these to customers if necessary. With your financial sharpness and insight into project costs, you ensure control and contribute directly to the profitability of our projects.

Skills & Experience

MBO+/HBO in a financial direction (e.g., finance/cost engineering)
Experience or affinity with ship repair
Excel holds no secrets for you and knowledge of BI tools is a plus
Technical knowledge is a bonus, but we are also happy to teach you
Speaking Dutch and English is a plus

Additionally, you are:

Residing in the Netherlands, and you speak fluent Dutch
Strongly analytical and accurate
Proactive in collecting the necessary information
Communicatively skilled, even under time pressure
Flexible and you feel at home in a dynamic project environment.
