Stage: Sustainability & Business Impact (ISO 14001)

Within our project team, we are working on improving our sustainability and environmental performance. In doing so, we are focusing on the development towards an environmental management system in accordance with ISO 14001. To provide a solid foundation and make this practical, we are looking for an intern to help gain insight into our current situation and translate this into concrete improvement steps.

You will receive a broad and concrete assignment in which analysis and practice come together:

• Mapping the current environmental impact of our organization

• Analysis of material flows and material use (input, processing, waste, reuse)

• Analysis of processes, energy use, and waste streams

• Performing a gap analysis towards ISO 14001

• Identifying opportunities for improvement (sustainability + efficiency + costs)

• Drafting a practical implementation and improvement plan

• Possibly developing KPIs and reporting structures

•  HBO student (3rd or 4th year) in, for example, business economics, sustainability, industrial engineering, or environmental science

• Strongly analytical and structured

• Independent and proactive (you will go out and collect information within the organization yourself)

• Interest in sustainability, process improvement, and business operations

• Not afraid to ask follow-up questions and look things up
