What will my work as a Junior Assistant Accountant look like?

As a Junior Assistant Accountant, you will lay a solid foundation for your career within accountancy. You will support entrepreneurs with their financial administration and learn step by step how to translate financial data into clear insights and reports.

Together with experienced colleagues, you will work on annual accounts, tax returns, and administrations. You will start with basic tasks and receive increasing responsibility, so that you can develop yourself into an independent professional.

Your duties include

• Processing financial administrations;

• Supporting the preparation of annual accounts;

• Preparing income tax and corporate tax returns;

• Preparing reports and financial statements;

• Identifying points of attention within client files;

• Collaborating with accountants, tax specialists, and advisors within the team.

You will work primarily for entrepreneurs in the agricultural sector, including dairy farmers and arable farming companies. Additionally, you will support entrepreneurs with various financial and business-related issues occurring within their companies.

By working closely with clients, you will get to know their business well and gain insight into the challenges and opportunities playing out within the sector.

When is the position of Junior Assistant Accountant right for me?

You recognize yourself in:

• A completed HBO degree in Accountancy, Business Economics, or similar;

You will work within the accountancy team of Countus Leeuwarden, where you will collaborate with accountants, assistant accountants, tax specialists, and advisors. Together, you will support entrepreneurs with various financial and business-related issues.

The Leeuwarden office is part of Cluster Noord, along with the Leek, Assen, Joure, and Steenwijk offices. Within this cluster, various disciplines work closely together, allowing you to learn from experienced colleagues and make use of a broad network of knowledge and expertise.
