The role

Are you in the final stage of your law studies and are you curious about employment law, pensions, and compensation issues in an international context? Then completing a student internship within Employment, Pensions & Incentives is an excellent opportunity to get to know Clifford Chance.

What you'll do

During your two-month internship:

you will be fully involved in practice;
you will be guided by a mentor and a buddy;
you will work on real files.

Duties include:

drafting notes, advice, and correspondence;
conducting legal research;
attending meetings and hearings;
translating legal documents.

In addition, you can participate in training via the Clifford Chance Academy and at social events within the office. This will give you a complete picture of both the work and the culture.

You will work on strategic legal advice for international clients regarding, among other things, executive hiring and exit arrangements, compensation policy, employee participation, reorganizations, employee data, outsourcing, pensions, and incentives. In doing so, we work closely with colleagues from, among others, corporate, finance, tax, and disputes.

The practice combines legal depth with commercial and social relevance. You will gain insight into how personnel, governance, and compensation issues play an important role in large transactions and complex international advisory processes.
