What you'll get

Salary based on skills and experience (classification according to job scale VII of the hospitality collective bargaining agreement) with room for growth.
Travel allowance according to a sliding scale, at 23 cents per kilometer starting at 7.5 km one way, with a maximum of €208.05 per month.

As Sous Chef for Papa's Loft House, you will leave a great impression on our guests! You will be responsible for guiding the team, making schedules, placing orders, and of course, preparing dishes. What kind of dishes? A taste from all over the world. As Sous Chef, you are therefore responsible for coordinating your own kitchen team, ensuring the concept, and creating a wonderful experience for guests!

PAPA'S LOFT HOUSE

Papa's Loft House is part of Papa's Houses and has been a proven concept since 1989. Papa's Loft House is located in the Gelderlandplein in Amsterdam with a green rooftop. Guests escape the hustle and bustle here and enjoy good times & great food. Find our menu here! Furthermore, in addition to the restaurant, you will also find our hotel: Element Amsterdam Hotel. Papa's Beach House is located in the Haarlemmermeerse Bos in Hoofddorp by a beautiful lake. Both locations offer various possibilities for organizing private events, business drinks, and weddings.

A DAY IN THE LIFE...

10:00: Waking up calmly and making a delicious breakfast

11:00: On the way to a busy day in the kitchen.🔪 But, first.. a cup of coffee where you will discuss the day with your team.

11:30: Mise-en-place time: washing, cutting, searing, and making sauces. 🍽️

12:00: We will provide lunch, all plates are prepared according to the agreed plan. You hold the reins!

14:00: Stock check ✔️ The asparagus are almost gone, the hollandaise sauce needs to be replenished, and there is still more than enough fresh baguette in stock. 🥖 You ensure that enough arrives from our suppliers tomorrow because there is an event for 100 pax on the schedule for tomorrow; we naturally need to have enough for that!

15:00: You have a performance review with a colleague; together you build a stronger kitchen team.

16:00: You ensure that the staff also gets delicious food to eat! 🍽️

17:30: The first dinner guests arrive; it's time to go full throttle! 💪🏽

19:30: It is full throttle! 🧀 🐟 🧂 Luckily, you love running and flying around.

22:30: A well-deserved drink with the whole crew! 🍺
