Do you want to make a difference in the field of information security and have real impact within our retail and logistics division? As a Technical Security Officer (TSO), you will ensure that security policy is translated into concrete, effective technical measures in practice. You are the connecting force between business and IT and will take the organization's security maturity to a higher level.
In this role, you are an important link in keeping the IT environment of Centric Retail & Logistiek secure. Our division supports organizations in, among others, retail, transport, and logistics with mission-critical software and IT solutions. That means that information security is not just about policy and guidelines, but especially about what happens technically and in daily practice.
You therefore have a solid infrastructural foundation and understand how our IT landscape is structured. You know which components and dependencies play a role and can quickly assess the impact of a vulnerability. When a security incident or vulnerability is detected, you independently determine the urgency, which risks we face, and what the first steps should be. You know when you can act yourself and when escalation is required.
An important part of your role is independently mapping and identifying vulnerabilities within our business units. You coordinate vulnerability scans and penetration tests, analyze the outcomes, and translate technical findings into concrete actions. You drive the patch management process and monitor that vulnerabilities are actually resolved and within the correct timeframe. In doing so, you constantly weigh risk, impact, and urgency.
You perform risk analyses and advise stakeholders and management on technical risks, possible measures, and the correct approach. To do this well, it is important that you do not only look at an individual vulnerability, but understand our landscape and the context of the business.
Additionally, you work closely with architects, development teams, and IT operations. You have experience collaborating with development and can therefore switch quickly between technical content, development processes, and infrastructure. You ensure that security is included from the design phase according to the principle of Security by Design and that security measures are actually applied and secured.
In this role, your focus lies on strengthening our technical security. You ensure that security is included from the ground up and that vulnerabilities are identified, assessed, and resolved in a timely manner.
Additionally, you deal with, among other things, security tooling, the assessment of hosting and cloud providers, risk management, and the setting up of security and SecDev KPIs. In doing so, you work closely with, among others, the Centric TISO, the Red Team, and the Green Team.
At Centric, you can count on:
Completing an assessment may be part of this application procedure.
