As a Technical Lead / Lead Software Engineer, do you want to not only build software, but also determine how it is designed and developed? Does it appeal to you to work in an international environment and occasionally work closely with the client from North or South America for a period of time?
Within Application Services, we are looking for an experienced Technical Lead Software Engineering who combines technical ownership with client contact, team guidance, and software engineering.
Within an international client environment, we develop and maintain mission-critical selection software for climate and air conditioning systems. The application is used by installers, consultants, and engineers in North and South America.
As Technical Lead Software Engineering, you determine the technical direction together with a compact team of approximately five software engineers. You translate client questions into technical designs, monitor architecture, quality, and scalability, and serve as the technical point of contact for the client.
In doing so, you work closely with the project manager and service manager.
Your responsibilities include, among other things:
designing software solutions and technical architecture;
translating client and business questions into requirements and solution designs;
providing technical and substantive guidance to software engineers;
monitoring software quality, performance, security, and maintainability;
working with .NET/C#, Angular, TypeScript, JavaScript, SQL, and Microsoft Azure;
deploying and improving Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment processes;
analyzing and solving complex technical issues;
coaching developers and discussing technical choices with the client;
supporting client meetings, demos, solution shaping, quotes, and RFPs.
You maintain and deepen the technical collaboration and discuss requirements, roadmap, product development, and complex issues.
You can clearly explain technical choices, dependencies, and risks to engineers, management, and C-level.
Because the collaboration is international, you are willing to travel to locations in North or South America a few times a year, where a stay can last from a few weeks to a maximum of about one month.
