You have an academic level of work and thought, preferably demonstrably with a completed university degree with a strong quantitative basis (for example, econometrics).
You have at least 3 years of demonstrable experience in a similar role and want to deepen your knowledge of the methodology surrounding international trade.
You have experience analyzing large datasets in, for example, R, Python, SQL, or similar.
You are able to lead projects and effectively involve the surrounding environment in doing so.
You are strong in conveying information, both in writing and orally. In any case in Dutch and preferably also in English.
For our employment conditions, we follow the CAO Rijk (Central Government Collective Labour Agreement).
This means that, among other things, you can count on the following:
A salary of at least EUR 4132,- and a maximum of EUR 6275,- gross per month based on 36 hours. Depending on your knowledge and experience.
8% holiday allowance and a 13th month. In total, this is 16.5% on top of your salary. We call this the Individual Choice Budget (IKB). You decide yourself how, when, and in what way you want to use this budget.
Pension accrual at the ABP Pension Fund.
A laptop (Microsoft or Apple) and mobile phone (Android or iOS).
You work hybridly, with a guideline of at least 2 days per week in the office. You will make agreements about this within your team.

You will work within the international trade output team. This team is part of the Business Statistics Heerlen sector. The sector produces a number of diverse statistics describing phenomena with an international dimension. Our team is responsible for statistics on international trade in services and international trade in goods.
A significant part of the Dutch economy is driven by international trade. Our figures are of great importance for accurately mapping the Dutch economy. Furthermore, they provide policymakers, politics, science, and society with the correct information. Our team of 30 colleagues enjoys a pleasant atmosphere and strong mutual connectedness.
