The role

Do you want to help organizations structurally raise the level of quality? As a Senior Test Architect at Capgemini, you are the subject matter authority in the field of testing, quality engineering, and test automation. You will work on challenging assignments at leading organizations in both the public and private sectors. In doing so, you help customers not only with testing software, but especially with making the right choices regarding quality, tooling, processes, and methodologies. You look beyond a single framework or a single tool and help organizations build a future-proof quality approach.

What you'll do

As a Senior Test Architect, you are the subject matter sparring partner for customers, architects, development teams, and management. You help organizations make the right choices regarding testing, quality, and test automation.

You are not a manager who primarily directs based on planning and progress, but a thought leader who provides direction on how quality is sustainably organized. You analyze the customer's context, understand the technical and organizational challenges, and translate this into an appropriate test architecture.

In doing so, you look at what is needed in a tool-independent manner. Sometimes this requires a strong test automation solution, sometimes a different organization of processes, tooling, governance, or collaboration. Whether your expertise lies in low-code automation, code-based frameworks, performance testing, CI/CD, package implementations, AI-assisted testing, or quality standards: you primarily know which approach to deploy and when.

You will be involved in, among other things:

  • Designing test architectures for complex IT landscapes;
  • Advising on quality engineering, test strategy, and quality assurance;
  • Determining which tooling, frameworks, and methodologies best align with the customer's needs;
  • Translating customer goals into a scalable and future-proof test approach;
  • Positioning testing within Agile, DevOps, and CI/CD environments;
  • Setting up quality frameworks, standards, and governance;
  • Guiding teams during the implementation of new test solutions and methodologies;
  • Supporting complex technical issues surrounding test automation and quality;
  • Thinking along about innovation in the field of quality engineering, AI, and continuous testing;
  • Sharing knowledge within the Testing practice through coaching, training, and communities.
  • You are communicatively strong and switch easily between business and IT;
  • You are analytically strong and think in solutions;
  • You take initiative and dare to present a clear vision;
  • You dare to present a clear vision and bring customers along in it;
  • You enjoy sharing knowledge and helping others grow;
  • You feel at home in a consultancy environment with variety and dynamism.

How you'll work

  • Hours: 32-40
  • Workplace: Utrecht, Flexible working, Client location
  • Experience: Senior, 5+ years of experience

Why does this position suit you?

You are someone who looks beyond execution. You understand both the technology and the business context and know how to translate complex issues into practical and scalable solutions.

You do not need to be a specialist in every tool, but you do have sufficient depth to substantiate tooling choices, provide direction to teams, and bring customers along in your vision. You are curious about developments within the testing profession and enjoy actively sharing your knowledge with colleagues and customers.

Experience as a Site Reliability Engineer or in a similar role.

But at least as important:

Make it Real

At Capgemini, you do not just work on technology, but on solutions that truly matter. In this role, you make an impact by helping organizations realize their quality ambitions and by providing direction to the future of testing. You will be given the trust to deploy your expertise, develop new ideas, and guide customers in their next step in quality engineering. Make it Real.

Hiring process

1 interview

  • Submitting your application takes 3 to 5 minutes (name, contact details, CV and optional cover letter).
  • When you accept the offer you receive a pre-boarding plan and an invitation to the monthly RISE welcome event.
