Senior Automation Engineer / Intelligent Automation

• You have HBO or WO working and thinking level
• You have at least 5 years of experience in RPA or process automation, of which at least 2 years in a lead or consultancy role
• You have experience with RPA platforms such as UiPath, Power Automate, or similar (e.g., Kofax, Automation Anywhere, or Blue Prism)
• You have knowledge of integrations (APIs, webhooks) and basic scripting, for example with Python, JavaScript, or PowerShell
• You can clearly explain choices, trade-offs, and risks to non-technical stakeholders
• You are strong in communication, coaching, and naturally take ownership
• You have excellent command of the Dutch language, both spoken and written (C1 level)
• You live and work in the Netherlands

• A permanent contract of 32, 36, or 40 hours with a compensation budget up to €8,100 gross per month incl. holiday allowance and mobility allowance;

As a Senior Automation Engineer, you are the technical driver within Intelligent Automation projects. You oversee the entire field: from process analysis and solution design to implementation and further development. You make conscious choices in tooling and architecture and can clearly explain why you do something or why you choose not to automate it.

You work closely with stakeholders, IT teams, and fellow consultants, and you lead teams through both technical and organizational change. In addition to your own projects, you have a coaching role towards other Automation Engineers and actively contribute to the further professionalization of the IA field within Sogeti.

In this role, you are responsible for, among other things:

• Designing and realizing complex RPA and Intelligent Automation solutions;
• Performing process intakes and determining the optimal automation approach;
• Making architecture and platform choices (e.g., RPA tools and integrations);
• Guiding and coaching fellow Automation Engineers;
• Advising clients on opportunities, risks, and the impact of automation;
• Ensuring the quality, maintainability, and scalability of solutions;
• Actively contributing to knowledge development within Sogeti.
